MTU DDA choose Teterin Engineering for MTU 1163 Engine Overhauls

MTU Detroit Diesel Australia has chosen to use Teterin Engineering as the Engine Reconditioner of choice for the overhauls of it's high powered 1163 model engines from the Australian Navy Frigate fleet.

Expected for delivery to Teterin Engineering's Newcastle Facility in May 2010, the Engine's Crankcase, Crankshaft and other components will require inspection and machining from Teterin's trained technicians and machinists.

The MTU 1163 engine comes in a 12V, 16V and 20V configuration and is capeable of a maximum displacement of 7500+hp. The engine displacement is 11.63 liters per cylinder, hence the name of the model, 1163.
